Turn Inclusion into Business Advantage – how EDI can drive your business growth

How Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Can Drive Business Growth

Partner with us to create workplaces where inclusion drives competitive advantage

Great talent is often overlooked, not because people lack ability, but because workplaces aren’t designed to support different ways of thinking.

Are you Leveraging Every Business Advantage?

At its heart, the Neurofriendly Programme is about helping organisations recognise the enormous value that neurodivergent employees bring to the workplace.

Those benefits can only be fully realised when individuals are supported through meaningful and personalised workplace adjustments.

The evidence is compelling. Research shows that organisations embracing neuro-inclusion experience:

  • 30% improvement in staff retention
  • 78% improvement in employee performance
  • 85% stronger workplace culture

Sources: CIPD, Deloitte and SAP.

Together, these improvements demonstrate that investing in reasonable adjustments is not simply the right thing to do—it also delivers measurable returns for organisations.

What makes EnFold’s approach different is our combination of lived experience training and practical implementation support.

Many organisations have already invested in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training, yet we regularly hear from neurodivergent individuals who continue to struggle at work. Often, the issue is not the quality of the training itself but what happens afterwards. Without ongoing support, EDI training can become a one-off, tick-box exercise, with little focus on implementing the reasonable adjustments that enable individuals to thrive.

The Neurofriendly Programme bridges that gap. Alongside high-quality training, we work with organisations to embed lasting change by supporting them to identify, implement and review practical workplace accommodations.

Our ambition is for the Neurofriendly Programme to become the recognised benchmark for neuro-inclusive organisations across Northamptonshire. Accreditation will demonstrate a genuine commitment to attracting, supporting and retaining neurodivergent talent while creating environments that better serve an increasingly neurodiverse customer base. According to the 2025 Neurodiversity Index by City & Guilds, around 15% of the UK population is neurodivergent, making neuro-inclusion an increasingly important consideration for employers and service providers alike.

The business case extends beyond recruitment and retention. The European Commission in conjunction with IBM found that 87% of consumers prefer to buy from companies that employ people with disabilities, and so neuro-inclusive organisations will benefit from stronger public reputation and increased customer loyalty.

Membership of the Neurofriendly Programme provides organisations with practical recognition and ongoing support, including:

  • A listing on EnFold’s preferred supplier directory, displaying their current accreditation status.
  • A Neurofriendly membership badge for use on websites and social media.
  • Window stickers to demonstrate their commitment to customers and visitors.
  • Access to free resources and exclusive training opportunities.
  • Annual audits that not only ensure standards are maintained but also provide opportunities to review existing workplace adjustments, ask questions and continue developing neuro-inclusive practice.

The Neurofriendly Programme is more than an accreditation. It is a commitment to creating workplaces where neurodivergent people can contribute their strengths, fulfil their potential and help organisations succeed. By combining evidence-based practice with lived experience, EnFold is supporting employers to build workplaces that are more inclusive, more productive and better prepared for the future.

EnFold specialise in EDI neurodivergent accreditation, delivering lived experience training, and expert support for reasonable adjustment delivery.

Mike’s Story

Mike’s journey towards diagnosis was filled with confusion, frustration and a lack of support. Regular meltdowns, depression and dark thoughts left him, and those who loved him, struggling to find hope.

Mike and his family thought post diagnosis, things must get better! But they found that a later-in-life diagnosis doesn’t guarantee additional support!

Then everything changed. Mike began engaging with EnFold where he found understanding, guidance and, most importantly, practical support. He began to make sense of himself and his experiences. He began to see a future.

Now, Mike has turned his lived experience into a strength, using it to make a meaningful difference at EnFold. As an Autism Support Practitioner, he combines his professional training with personal insight, enabling him to build stronger connections, provide tailored support, and achieve better outcomes for the people he works with.
